  • The XL Catlin Seaview Survey, the most comprehensive survey of coral reefs ever conducted carried out in 26 different countries, generating over 50 scientific papers and reports, 33 conference abstracts and research presentations, 8 scientific articles and 1 book;

  • The world's largest visual scientific archive of underwater panoramic images, the Global Reef Record;

  • The most viewed underwater imagery of all time - billions of views;

  • Attracted a combined following on social media across multiple channels upwards of four million;

  • Discovery of important new deep reef coral species;

  • Discovery of the deepest coral ever found on the Great Barrier Reef;

  • Announcement and revealing of The Third Global Coral Bleaching Event in partnership with US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA);

  • Over 1 million children educated about the ocean through Virtual Reality;

  • Two 6-pages features in TIME Magazine;

  • Over 9,000 other editorial features in the media promoting ocean science, independently valued at over $180m in Equivalent Advertising Value;

  • Ten TV documentary features including a full 30-minute show on CNN shown in over 100 countries;

  • An Emmy Award-winning Netflix Original Documentary made about our work, called Chasing Coral;

  • Partnerships with many organisations including Google, NOAA, UNESCO, IUCN and Mission Blue;

  • Coral Reefs: Secret Cities of the Sea: An exhibition at the Natural History Museum London in partnership with XL Catlin, now AXA XL;

  • Virtual Reality film Out Of The Blue picks up awards on the film festival circuit;

  • Developing the 50 Reefs program alongside partners The University of Queensland and Wildlife Conservation Society, with generous support from Bloomberg Philanthropies, Tiffany and Co. Foundation and Paul G. Allen Family Foundation;

  • Virtual Reality film Guardians Of The Kingdom launches at EarthX in Dallas, followed by a long line of film festival and event screenings;

  • We launch Out of Sight, Out of Mind, our XR interactive gallery exhibition in Sydney across multiple venues with a program of Australian and international extensions being planned;

  • Launched our new Google Arts and Culture gallery;

  • Participated in the Interspecies Assembly collaboration alongside leading partners from art, science, and policy, including TBA21—Academy, The United Nations, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Google Arts & Culture, Monterey Bay Aquarium Institute, Smithsonian National Museum of History, Smithsonian Libraries and Archives, Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum, UN, and Museum für Naturkunde Berlin;

  • Auspiced a number of ocean-related organisations and events including Ocean Impact Org and Ocean Lovers Festival;

  • Developed a series of VR films in partnership with Odyssey and the Government of New Caledonian;

  • And all whilst continuing to work with partners to collect and publish/broadcast 360 stills and video content for ocean outreach and education purposes.
